In 1983 I started to learn how to make bobbin lace.  I have attended many courses in different types of lace.  These courses include Bucks Point, Bedfordshire, Belgian Lace, Modern Lace Flowers and Needlepoint at the British College of Lace in Rugby with many well known national and international tutors.

I have also been to many Lace Days and listened to many talks on various aspects of lace and lacemaking.  The one I enjoyed most about designing torchon lace patterns which inspired me to have a go at designing some of my own patterns.  This was not as easy as I first thought but after a little time I got engrossed.

I have also produced two booklets of torchon lace patterns.

The first booklet contains seven designs consisting of three square edgings, one circular edging and three bookmarks.   The second booklet contains eight designs consisting of four square edgings, two small mats and two large mats.  In each booklet there are two copies of each design - one for you to use and one for you to keep.
